The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide $85m of finance for three PV plants in Thailand, totalling 57MW.

The bank will lend the money to Solarco, which is owned by publicly-listed Electricity Generating Public Co. (EGCO), the country’s first independent power producer.

The plants will be developed on three sites in Nakhonpathom and Suphanburi provinces.

They will be developed under Thailand’s “very small power producer” programme, ADB said.
